TOTEM

Jakub is an architect and an artist whose work revolves around secrets and surprises. Many of his designs change their shape or appear to be something else while hiding their true nature. This is also the case with his project dubbed “the narrowest house in the world”, aka Keret House, which was included in New York City’s MoMA collection. This also applies to the only piece in the Alter Ego Collection that is not a chair. The TOTEM is supposed to conceal its true purpose of a jewellery box behind the look of an enigmatic yet colourful sculpture. In fact, it’s a stack of separate modular containers that can be configured according to your fancy. What is worth mentioning is that it was crafted from leftovers from the production of sheets of plywood also manufactured by Paged.
